Ending the Energy Crisis and Thursday Thireen

Before I post my Thursday Thirteen for the week I just want to say this. If someone could figure out the way to channel all of the energy that my brain uses going from one topic <zoom>over to another topic <zoom>on to a third topic that is totally irrelevant to my life now or in the near future but MIGHT be worth thinking about a year from now<zoom> back to a different random topic.......if this could happen - we would have no energy crisis.

Someday I am going to do a post about all of the random thoughts I have during the day. It's ridiculous really. Interesting at times, unnecessarily stressful at other times but MAN there is a lot that goes on up there in my head!

Thirteen Random Things I Am Looking Forward to...or Not...You Decide

(I am being vague on purpose)

  1. Going on insulin
  2. My anniversary vacation this summer to Portland Maine
  3. Taking a psychology class this summer, just for the fun of it
  4. Owning a home of my own someday in the next whenever
  5. Having to work Sat. 3/1 (I do believe I get a comp day).
  6. Being authentically me without any meds for a certain amount of time
  7. Painting our kitchen while Adam is in Sunny Florida
  8. Getting a new bed sometime soon and really feeling justified because ours is now 8 years old
  9. Seeing that the sun was still poking about as I left work today
  10. My new landing space at this blog (I will give away that I really do like Squarespace)
  11. Knowing that Friday is 2 short days away
  12. Having a massage scheduled for Saturday morning
  13. NOT having the FLU that is running rampant through my brother and sister-in-law's house - everyone including the baby is on round 2 of it.

Amanda got the flu even though she had the flu shot. She is miserable.
Good list. Most of it is very positive. If you dig painting you can come on up this summer and help me. I've got a ton of it!

I understand about the random thoughts. I think more of us have them than admit it. Myself, I know what goes on in my head would probably astonish people.

Boy, you do sound tired. I hope you are all right. I've found that creating a practice of settling - meditation, prayer, looking at a candle or whatever - is very helpful.

((hug))

Insulin sucks, but the alternative sucks worse, so that's probably okay. Most of the others look good except for work (I count painting as work and I'll be doing some of my own this weekend) and the flu!
