I deserve a Big Mac with Fries Damn It
Wow was today a crazy day. A workshop in the morning, straight into meeting and ending the day with some scrambling to put out a small fire. Though all this I was trying to connect with doctor's to make appointments. As they say, "all's well that ends well."
Fire was successfully managed (I do work with great people). I was finally able to get ahold of the endocrinologists office and the earliest they can see me is March 26th. I was hoping to see her and get on an insulin regimin before I saw my doctor on the 18th but life works out as it will and apparently a month is pretty standard for an inital visit. I also got an appointment with the Diabetic Nurse who will be helping me with my meal planning and for this Friday. So, as of Friday I am eating as if I want to have a healthy baby - we are just assuming I can have one.
The appointments are slightly out of order but by the end of March I will be well on my way with managing the diabetic part of my health. Then in May we tackle the other meds.
Tonight (shhh don't tell anyone) I am stopping at McDonald's and getting a Big Mac with extra pickles and an order of large fries. Oh come on it's the last time I will be able to eat one for at least the next year - I usually get a craving a few times a year - Anyone who says "gross" is lying - them fries are damn delicious! And anyone who tries to tell me that eating a Big Mac and Fries a mere 3 times a year is that bad for me is just someone I don't want to talk to!

Oh enjoy the meal! I admit to missing my junk food. Once I get to my goal weight I'll splurge and go out once in a while!
Ijust honestly never liked big macs. I'm not a huge fan of fries, either. But once in a blue moon I crave a 95-cent "cheeseburger."
My cravings tend to run in the "sweets" dept, not the salty/greasy.
You go girl! *hug*
haha, I get a happy meal about once a month. Can you guess what time of month? HAHA
