Thursday Thirteen
When Adam and I decided to start down the journey of trying to get pregnant, I vowed that I would not make every post about that. It might be interesting to us but I am sure it gets old fast with the other 7 people who read my blog. But I am excited so a post here and there will crop up and the rest of it I chronical ad nauseum in my off line journal.
So this week's Thursday's Thirteen is done with a bit of tongue and cheek humor because while it is accurate I have found that if I don't keep some laughter in there I will overthink myself to death!

Thirteen Things I Get to Do to Try and Make A Baby*
- Come off of diabetes meds and get on insulin pump
- Be on insulin for a month
- Come off of my depression meds and birth control (watch out world!)
- Keep a calendar of my fertile days (thanks to “myfertilityfriend” (I know...how cornyand overly cutsey)
- Have sex on fertile days
- Pray
- Monitor my blood sugars like crazy
- Count every carb I put into my mouth
- Get my period
- Curse it and start again at #5
- Remain calm and present at all times
- Repeat until pregnant or for 12 months.
*As with most other things in my life I cannot just do this the two-step way of "haev sex", "get pregnant". For me (as for many women, it is a bit more complicated but I am certainly glad I could get it down to fit into a Thursday Thirteen and get an entire 13 steps!

I would offer to help, but well, sorry can't. That's A's job! LOL. But I am here for moral support if you need it!
I have so been through that. It takes all the fun out of the bedroom when you try so hard to have a baby. Hopefully it works out for you. It finally did for me. :)
Don't make it too regimented if you don't have to because if that 12 month marker goes by doctor's will so up in your sexual business you'll go insane. So don't go insane making babies unless you have to.
Oh and don't listen to any assvice that wasn't asked for. ha!
